Specialist Military Injury Solicitors
Some military injuries are not accidents in the true sense of the word and nor are they what we would classify as industrial diseases – such as hearing loss – they fall somewhere between the two:
Cold Injuries – Sometimes referred to as ‘non freezing cold injuries’. If you have been out in cold, wet conditions – as often experienced if on sentry duty or night exercises – it is vital that you have warm, waterproof equipment to protect you from the elements. Even if you do, frost bite and cold damage can still affect even the fittest and the strongest amongst us. Often it is not the immediate effect of the conditions that cause lasting injury but what happens next, if you don’t get the opportunity to warm up properly or if you are left in cold, wet boots and clothing then long term and even career ending damage can occur including long term/permanent reduced or loss of feeling in the fingers or toes.
Medical Negligence – Military doctors are subject to the same scrutiny as their civilian counterparts in our hospitals and GP surgeries. Did you receive poor medical treatment while serving in the armed forces? Perhaps you were put back on active duty too soon and this affected an existing medical problem? A missed diagnosis perhaps? Whatever the reason PDA Law solicitors are here to help.
Heat Injuries – As with cold weather, hot conditions are not to be taken lightly and if you are serving in a hot climate certain precautions need to be taken in order to keep you safe and well. These could range from ensuring sun cream is readily available to prevent the risks of skin cancer to making sure that enough fluids are provided to avoid dehydration and heat exhaustion.
It is free to contact PDA Law solicitors and you are under no obligation to pursue a case. We will simply give you the benefit of our legal experience and what you decide to do after that is entirely up to you. If you do decide to instruct us to pursue a claim on your behalf, we will only ever do so on a no win no fee basis.
